Marathon Fuel Pack

$65.00 CAD

274 g of carbohydrate. Ten gels, three electrolyte sticks, two waffles. Everything you need for 42.2 km, in the order you need it.

Most marathon plans fall apart at the fuelling. You are told to take 60 to 90 grams of carbohydrate an hour, and then left to work out what that means in sachets, from brands whose gels are not the same size, in quantities that never match what you actually need.

This pack is that maths, already done.

Two hundred and seventy-four grams of carbohydrate — roughly 68 grams an hour for a four-hour marathon, and comfortably inside the 60 to 90 gram range recommended for endurance events. Ten gels, spaced for a gel every 25 to 35 minutes. Three electrolyte sticks for the day before, race morning and afterwards. Two waffles for the night before and the finish line.

Not a box of gels. A schedule you can follow.

Caffeine, or not

Same total fuel, same price. The caffeinated build swaps three gels for caffeinated ones — 100 mg in total, arriving in the back half of the race where it does the most work. Or keep it completely clean.

Fuelling needs vary with race duration, intensity, conditions and individual tolerance. Use this pack in training before you use it on race day. During-race hydration should be adjusted for conditions and for what is available on course.
